Didn't read these first time around but this first novel has me hooked on this family much like following the family in Chesapeake Shores or the inhabitants of Cedar Cove, I can't wait to read the next one and since they are being re-issued I don't have to wait for the next book to be published. As for the story the elements are there that play on the emotions of the reader--laughter to tears and everything in between. What is known is that the reader is sure in the end Luke, Jessie, and Angela will live happily ever after.

A wonderful love story with sorrow and happiness and baby Sheryl told a wonderful take of loss and love thanks
I have read all the books by Sherrl Woods in this series. They are very good. I would recommend these books to anyone.
A sweet story, so appropriate for the holidays. I always enjoy reading Sheryl Woods books. She did not disappoint again.
This story is about a family each member of which has different ideas of who they are and how they should respond to the death of one brother and where to place blame for their feelings. The mother is driven by how she believes society thinks the family members should behave. The father is a more complex person whose motives seem to be straightforward, but who may be behaving under motivations his family do not understand. The brothers have ceased to be close, but their portrayal is well written and inspires genuine feelings in the readers. As usual, Sherryl Woods writes romances about people and places the reader recognizes and cares about. These are people who care about their professions, their family and who reach beyond their beliefs about themselves and those they love to grow and accept the feelings of those they love.

Well written, fleshed out world that many of us would like to be part of.
Great book and price
This was a good book about a man falling in love with his brother's widow. I enjoyed reading it but thought it dragged at times especially when Luke was so stubborn.
