I'm a little disappointed with the story. I thought she would've grown up a lot more than she did. She still came across as the dim whit. At least when he was telling the story. She couldn't make up her own mind or voice her opinions or emotions about anything in her life. During her part she stepped it up and made decisions that seemed like she was growing.I also didn't like how the situation with James wasn't cleared up. Like what happened to him if there was a different story behind him not being with his wife and son. It was never told why he had the events backwards but it was pointed out. Also what was really going on with his ex and why she fell off or if the child was his or not. I can see his brother becoming another story but I'd doubt I'd read it because she goes into too much detail (I took a shower, started the water grabbed a towel and soap etc.)
The story would've actually been probably less than half if every little detail wasn't told. It took away from the story a lot this time because so many things were left in the air. She could've cut most of that and added some detail with the sex scenes. Those were run through and done before they even started. Other than that the story was great. I liked how the wedding went down and also the drama unfolding with him being shot. Everything else came across as fluff.

Ok …I absolutely love this series I love Jaylen especially in this book , The way both Jaylen and Jessica took care of their children and the way you knew they loved each other.. I loved Malcolm & Kayla and how they were there for Jaylen and Jess no questions asked ..My only issue with the book is I would of loved to see some growth in Jessica as far as getting a job even though the author wrote how Jess was getting back into photography and starting her own business I would of loved to actually see that come to life …I felt like from book 1 Jessica depended on Malcolm and Jaylen for everything, But overall I love the series!
I love this story and how it all comes together. Just to know that "No Matter What" they pulled through it. Just like a bad penny Angela shows up and shows out, never a doubt she was still there. Thomas was a hot mess and dang "where that come from". But Jaylen, Malcolm, Jessica and Kayla can't be broken down. THIS IS A GREAT FINALE AND WORTHY OF A STRONG RECOMMENDATION TO EVERYONE. LOVED IT
This series goes down as one of my favorites ever! Not your typical hood story (no offense to anyone. Shoot, a great read is a great read)! The chemistry of this young couple is undeniable from the gate! It will keep you on your toes! Trust me when I tell you Shaquanda did her thing with this! I can't wait to read more from her!
I thoroughly enjoyed this series. It showed how although Jess and Jay are young they held the family together . I liked how Jessica was able to finally meet her mother,even though she didn't get the proper closure, it was nice how Michael was able to fill in somethings for her, in the end living with Grandma Mae was a blessing. I rated the book the way I did because it kept me interested from the beginning to the end. Jaylen was a great provider and his family meant everything to him . I am looking forward to Malcolm and Kayla' s story. I would have liked to see James killed, also I enjoyed the beat down Jessica gave Angela.
Perfect ending to a great series. The book did have some spelling errors however the book was still great. I could see that Jessica has grown and matured since the first book. Once Jessica and Jaylen decide they wanted and should be together that's when the drama really started, but the love was unwavering. Malcolm and Kayla what can I say but ,I can't wait to read their book, give those two a baby of their own and the readers are sure to get a few laughs. True love can never be broken only strengthen by those truly in love. Jessica and Jaylen loved each other No Matter What.
I really enjoyed the love story of Jaylen and Jess. Malcolm and his girlfriend are the type of people you want around you for support. I am glad Jaylen and Jess finally got on the same page for there family. It was unfortunate they met so many crazy people along the way. But adversity brings people closer together and makes life interesting. I would recommend this series to my friends.
I been on this journey since "When Love Hurts" til the end and it was a wonderful trip. Since the first book I was captivated with Jaylen and Jessica's story and patiently/impatiently waited for each book to be released. Shaquanda you did an awesome job, and I love how you devoted time to building a story and character development. Everything comes full circle and you tie it all together beautifully. There are no questions left unanswered and no problem left unresolved.
I did notice after "I Wont Cry" that the titles seemed like they may intertwine and with each new book it did not go unnoticed. It's a great message! Thank You!!
I will be patiently/impatiently waiting for Malcom and Kayla's story. I know it's gonna be good. Also, thank you for the emails and updates and all the little samplings you gave us while you were working on the book. It shows that you care about your fans.
